I was inspired over the weekend by Chic Runner to have a FREE GIVEAWAY on my blog today! (She had one on Friday and will be having another one this week, so keep an eye on her blog too.)

Here are the details for my giveaway:

THE PRIZE: A brand new book set of two amazing publications by John Stanton, the founder of the Running Room: The Running Room’s Book on Running and Walking: A Complete Guide to Walking for Fitness, Health, and Weight Loss. Both books are autographed by Stanton.

The Running Room’s Book on Running is pretty much considered the running Bible in these parts. At 480 pages, it covers everything from getting started to building your program as well as nutrition and heart rate training. It covers racing for every distance from a 5k to a marathon. It even has a special chapter on running for women. I personally have two copies of this book.

Walking is a great compliment to the first publication. You can read my published book review about it here. This is John Stanton’s most recent book.

Stanton’s bio is a whole book-worthy story in itself. Stanton has received the Order of Canada, one of the highest awards in the country. It is given in recognition of extraordinary Canadians and their extraordinary achievements. I couldn’t possibly summarize Stanton’s entire story, but you can read more of his bio here.

These are amazing books. Regardless of your fitness goals or level of athleticism, you will find something in these pages to enhance your life and keep you motivated towards a healthier future.

I’m really excited about my blog posts for the rest of this week. I’ve had some time to experiment with some great tips I got from my physiotherapist and I know this stuff is going to help improve your runs almost immediately. I have also met with my nutritionist and I’ve got some very helpful sport nutrition info to share.

You may have noticed that I’ve changed my blog layout. I’ve added some pictures of myself (finally!) and some new links. You can now read a more detailed About Me, as well as get the scoop on my goals and the team that is helping me achieve them.
