  1. The greatest obstacle I have overcome is my struggle with bulimia and depression. I don’t think I will ever be completely “cured”, but as I say, I have overcome the “struggle” and today I accept and love who I am — imperfectly perfect! My life-saver – RUNNING!
    Thank you for your blog!

  2. One obstacle in my life that I am proud to have overcome is after realizing I was overweight and out of shape to have lost over 50 pounds and started running regularly.

  3. My weight and inability to run without shin splints had been my biggest obstacle to health. Luckily, two years ago, I tried again and the summer of 100 days of over 100 degree temps helped me shuffle (and thereby not overstride) into a runner.

  4. The biggest obstacle I have overcome is the period of my life being unemployed. Starving for work in a jobless area, it was one of the most difficult things I’ve experienced. Had to make some big choices to get back on my feet.

  5. I am proud that I have achieved a successful finish at my first ultra running race 50k. It took a lot of training and balancing of schedules with family and work. But was able to invest those early morning and weekend hours in. And the feeling of accomplishment at the finish was awesome. I look forward to another ultra!

  6. The biggest obstacle I’ve overcome in my life was having back surgery at 18 and now having DDD (degenerative disc disease) at 29. A lot of hard work has helped the symptoms go away for now. Gotta stay in shape.

  7. My evolution in life. I had gone down a dark path in which I didn’t take care of myself, didn’t like who I was, bad habits etc. and made a complete 180- changed who I am, running helped me through my divorce and turned me into a healthy happy person.
