I’m writing an extra post today because I just got my Sport Kilts in the mail and I’m super excited! My ultra mini Irisher running kilt is awesomeness. Pockets and pleats in all the right places. I love it!

Now it’s time to give away the men’s kilt. Here it is (size: Medium).

And my own picture:

  1. I’ve been thinking about getting a sports kilt for a while now. (One of my friends wears one, and swears he’ll never run in shorts again.)

Where would I wear it? On training runs, in races. Most especially, in the Sef-Transcendence 6 Hour Race in Kingston, on June 11! Barefoot and kilted!

p.s. I’m real man, so I can wear the kilt!

  2. i wear a kilt already the firefighter tartan from sportkilt but could use another i am vp of station 857 fire and iron mc club we wear our kilts at charity events and kilts and colrs at bike rallys

I would wear this kilt to the MTD 12hr race and possibly to the Toronto marathon as well

  4. I have been looking at kilts for some time. I do not have a sport kilt. But i do have a kilt that was a hand me down, but cant wear it, was my late fathers. I just do not want anything to happen to it. If i was to win this kilt. I would wear this kilt in the next dog sled comp, or take a day and go sky diving and wear it with pride and be truly free. ha-ha!!!!!

  5. Alan is on rapid fire … I’d wear the kilt during the Peterboro 1/2 marathon in February! Surely, using the kilt in -10C has got to count for bonus points. I’ll even throw in the elf hat.

  6. Vanessa,
This looks both coolant really useful, with the handy pockets wouldn’t be need to carry a gel belt.
If I was lucky enough to win, I’d wear it for the Prague marathon in may.
    Happy Running

  7. Finally, comment #4 – Because I can’t run well in my faux-Utilikilt, I’d plan to wear the kilt at the gym (I’m a walking advertisement for Vibrams already), at picnics (whether the weather warms up or not), and to concerts.
    p.s. Your story is inspirational!

  8. That kilt is awesome. I’d rock that at work, social gatherings, and on my ultra runs. Got a sweet 8 hr trail run coming up in the spring that the kilt would be perfect for.

  9. I friend Vanessa and the kilt facebook and posted here. So can I get a Kilt? He He He. Vanessa, you will be proud of me today I did 5 miles in water shoes and it felt great!!

  10. At the risk of sounding creepy, how high is the back of the kilt? I’ve been eying the Anderson sports kilt but I’m not sure what size to get. That ultra mini looks awfully cute on you but it might be too short for me! :)

  11. * Facebook friended em and mentioned your blog
    * Posted a linky to you and the giveaway on facebook
    * I’ll be wearing this at every shorter road race, warrior dash, mudrun, etc and you can bet I’ll be doing it barefoot and scottish style so if its windy and you recognize the kilt, avert your eyes or be blinded by the untanned cheeks (for the safety of myself and the children, I’ll cover up my bits for the adventure races)

  12. *Post a comment on your blog. I am a lurker and read your blog. I would wear it at the Flying Pig Half marathon, while barefoot in May. And hopefully some local 5ks.
